Cagub Pramono Ex-Minister Of State Secretary Concerned About The Distribution Of Residents Around The Palace: It Annoys Me

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung revealed that there was a social and economic gap between the magnificent State Palace and residential areas in the same sub-district, namely Gambir, Central Jakarta.

Pramono found the gap or disparity during blusukan to residents' villages in RW 01, 03, and 07 Cideng Village, Central Jakarta, some time ago.

"In Jakarta alone, even in Cideng sub-district, whose sub-district is Gambir sub-district, which is one with the Palace, disparities or differences are very striking between rich people and poor people," said Pramono in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 2.

When visiting settlements in Cideng, Pramono received a complaint from local residents about the location where he lived was quite dangerous, which was directly adjacent to the railroad tracks.

"In Cideng, the next issue is sewers, the rear of the train. Meanwhile, there are frequent accidents in RW 1 RW 3 RW 7, so it is the government's responsibility to have a fence," said Pramono.

Pramono admitted that he was concerned about this condition. Pramono, during his 25 years as a state official, admitted that all this time he thought government policies had brought goodness to the community.

However, the former Cabinet Secretary realized that his assessment was not fully correct when he found out that there were still slum settlements around the Palace.

"It really disturbs me personally. So that until now I sometimes see, once injustice occurs because of the structure, what needs to be improved," Pramono explained.

On that basis, Pramono claimed that he would start solving the residents' problems from the most basic. Starting from settlement arrangement to job opening.

"So for that, if I am given a mandate, I will do small ones, those from below, which can directly bring benefits to the community," he explained.
