Israeli Armored Forces Join Land Operations In South Lebanon
JAKARTA - The Israeli military said regular and armored infantry units joined ground operations in southern Lebanon. This coverage of ground military operations remains limited and localized.
Israel says command units and paratroopers have crossed the border in the first publicly announced ground operation in Lebanon, reported by Reuters, Wednesday, October 2.
Meanwhile, special forces units have carried out ground attacks against Hezbollah targets across the border for months, where the military found tunnels and arsenals under the house.

The addition of infantry and armored troops from Division 36, including the Golani Brigade, the 188th Armored Brigade, and the 6th Infantry Brigade, shows the operation has surpassed a limited command attack.
The military said the ground operations were mostly aimed at destroying tunnels and other infrastructure at the border.
Israel says there are no plans to carry out broader operations targeting Beirut or major cities in southern Lebanon.
