Once Studying Together In America, Anies Baswedan Was Shocked By Marissa Haque's Death

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan was present at the funeral home of the late Marissa Haque who was declared dead on Wednesday, October 2, at 00.43 WIB at Premiere Bintaro Hospital.

After visiting the funeral home, Anies approached the media crew to express his condolences.

On this occasion, Anies tried to remember the memorable moments with Marissa Haque, one of which was when he studied together in America.

"It was memorable when we both studied in America, Ms. Marissa was there. Ferry (wife), we remember very well that Ms. Marissa was at home for some time, at that time we were both on land far away from America. I went to college, Ms. Marissa was studying, so our family was close when we were both studying," said Anies Baswedan in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang, Wednesday, October 2.

No wonder when he heard the news of Marissa Haque's sudden and straightforward departure, it was enough for the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"We were all shocked that suddenly mba Marissa was not sick, there was no news of anything suddenly died. We are sure that the deceased died in a special condition of Khotimah," he added.

"God willing, his degree in the sight of Allah will be forgiven for his mistakes and sins and his family will be given strength, fortitude in passing this very tough test," he continued.

Furthermore, Anies expressed his condolences to Marissa Haque's family. He testified that Marissa was a person who was dedicated to his work.

"We feel lost for the death of Marissa Haque's mother. During her life journey, her extraordinary dedication to her profession, to the social activities that the deceased continues to work on and her family, Mas Ikang, not just working on art but also caring about community issues," explained Anies Baswedan.

"This shows that his life is a life that provides benefits," he said.
