If He Becomes Governor Of Jakarta, Pramono Wants To Build Residential Positions Above The Market To The District Office

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung plans to build housing for the community on government-owned buildings, such as markets to sub-district offices.

For Pramono, this residential problem is one of the main needs of the community, in addition to employment, health, and education issues.

"I think not only of markets, why not for example puskesmas in strategic places, sub-district offices, village offices. If that is done, so that what is called housing going up can really be done well," said Pramono in South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 1.

Pramono assessed that the DKI Provincial Government really needs to innovate in meeting residential needs for Jakarta residents. This is because the limited vacant land in Jakarta makes land prices even more expensive.

This also makes it increasingly difficult for people to get affordable housing based on their economic conditions. Thus, the addition of the floor of government buildings that are used as housing needs to be considered.

In addition, Pramono continued, the government can also reduce the large budget allocation to buy new land in strategic areas in order to build flats.

"For the local government itself, there is no need to then free (the land)," said Pramono.

In addition to housing, Pramono also plans to build creative spaces for young groups in the same building as these residences. This, according to him, has been running since the previous era of the Governor of DKI.

"Since the time of Mas Anies and Ahok, there have been proposals whose names are raised upwards, then the market has filled the 1st, 2nd, 3rd floors. The 4th, 5th floor is for creative hubs for young people. Above it is for housing, it already exists," he explained.

In addition, Pramono said that the cost of procuring housing and creative spaces for the community was not only sourced from the regional budget (APBD), but also cooperation between the government and business entities (KPBU).

"There must be cooperation with the private sector, KPBU. If it can be carried out, it is very good, for Jakarta," added the former Cabinet Secretary.
