KPK Asks Commission III Of The DPR RI To Choose The Best Leader And Supervisory Board
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) hopes that Commission III of the DPR RI can choose the best leadership and supervisory board. So that in the future, those who carry out their mandate can become captains in an effort to eradicate corruption.
This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika in response to the announcement of the name of the candidate for leadership and supervisory board which had been submitted to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to be submitted to the DPR RI.
"The hope is that after the names of these 10 people are handed over, the people's representatives, especially in Commission III, can choose the best from the best of these 10 people," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 2.
Tessa said everyone must have the same hope for leaders and supervisory boards in the coming period. "We all want the captain in this credible institution, who has integrity, and can carry ships in the form of this institution through the waves," she stressed.
"The corrupt resistance wave, the wave of eradication and it's not easy," continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.
As previously reported, the Selection Committee (Pansel) for Candidates for Leadership and Supervisory Board of the KPK said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would hand over 10 names of each candidate for leadership and supervisory board to the DPR RI. All names will then carry out a fit and proper test.
"In the end, we decided to send 10 names of candidates for leadership and 10 candidates for council to the President. And thank God, the President will forward the names to the DPR," said Deputy Chairperson of the Pansel Capim and the KPK Council Arief Satria to reporters at the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 1.
