PAN Leaks Discourse Of Commission In DPR Increases To 13

JAKARTA - The discourse on adding commissions in the DPR in line with the increase in ministries in the Prabowo Subianto administration seems to be realized. Most recently, the Secretary General (Secretary General) of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Eko Patrio leaked the discourse of commissions in the DPR, which previously 11 will increase to 13.

"There is a discourse that it is said that from the 11 commissions there will be 13 commissions," he said after the inauguration of DPR members for the 2024-2029 period, Tuesday.

Eko also explained that the addition of this commission would increase because there was a nomenclature of ministries/agencies in the Prabowo Subianto government. He admitted that he did not know what fractions the commission was.

"It could be like this, legal and human rights. Maybe it could be the law in what commission, what human rights is in the commission. Or for example, the minister of tourism and the creative economy, where is the tourism, the creative economy is in the form of a ministry or in the form of a body," he explained.

Previously, the chairman of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period, Puan Maharani, said that the discourse on adding commissions in the DPR was being finalized following the plan to add ministries to the Prabowo Subianto government cabinet after this elected presidential candidate became president.

According to Puan, the possibility of adding a commission in the DPR is to strengthen the partnership between the government and the legislature. "So, we are working on it and we are implementing it according to the mechanism," said Puan at the parliament complex, last week.
