This Is The Result Of Identification Of Human Skeleton Findings In Wonorejo Surabaya

SURABAYA - The East Java Regional Police announced the results of temporary identification regarding the findings of the human skeleton at the Wonorejo 1 Pump House, Kedung Baruk Village, Rungkut, Surabaya, some time ago.

"The 21 human bones found consisted of seven thigh bones, two left legislographic bones, and one rear side skull," said Head of East Java Police, Kombes M Khusnan, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 30.

Then one skull on the right side of the head, one lower jaw with six teeth attached, one pelvic bone, six bones of three pairs of lower arms and two lower arms bones.

"Most of the bone conditions are incomplete, fragile and have been around for a long time," said Khusnan.

Khusnan explained that his party had conducted forensic examinations to DNA tests to trace the identity of the bone, but the results had not yet come out.

"We involved several teams including forensic experts, forensic dentists, we also did DNA tests, and all of them have been done. We will wait for the results," he said.

According to police, the discovery of the human bones came from a cemetery on the banks of the river.

"It could be because (the grave) is on the banks of the river, so there may be traces of a grave or what went into the river, so there was a collection at (the location of the discovery) there," he said.

Meanwhile, the Forensic Expert of the Bhayangkara Hospital of the East Java Police, Dr. Marifatul Ula, admitted that it was difficult to identify it because of the bones of my father, who was estimated to be more than 20 years ago.

In addition, other bone structures have disappeared and left some pieces of the skeleton whose condition is also incomplete.

"The condition of the bones is very fragile. So if, for example, we say it is intact, it cannot. So it remains only the rest of the skeleton in the form of bone debris," said Dr. Marifatul.

The forensic expert estimates that more than three human bone cuts were found. Even so, he could not prove the gender of the skeleton.

"We estimate more than two, three individuals. We count based on their bones," he said.

The East Java Regional Police opened a hotline for the development of this case with the number 0878-5512-7288.

The police hope that if there are people who feel they have lost their families, they can contact the number for further investigation.

Previously, the human skeleton suspected of being from two bodies was found near the Wonorejo 1, Kedung Baruk Village, Rungkut District, Wednesday (25/9) at around 14.00 WIB.

The two human skeletons were first seen by Mudi, a floodgate guard who happened to be cleaning up. The bones of the man are thought to have been stuck on the riverbank for almost a year.

There are human bones that are large, medium and small in size. The initial identification of the police said the bones found came from the thighs, hips, to the head.
