"The information circulating about the partial recall of Atto 3 and Dolphin is correct, but this initiative is only for China's domestic market and only for a few batches of certain units produced specifically for the Chinese market," he said, when contacted by VOI, Monday, September 30.

Furthermore, the man who is familiarly called Luther said the initiation was a commitment effort from the Quality Control BYD section which continues to carry out its function of monitoring product quality even though the car has been sold and is in the hands of consumers.

"It is BYD's commitment to continue to maintain consumer safety from all potentials that may arise in the future," he added.

Luther added that currently there has been no incident, only the potential for risk is likely small and if it occurs in very extreme conditions.

"However, for long-term security and comfort reasons specifically for the unit, and in Indonesia it is not affected," he concluded.
