President Pezeshkian Says Iran Is Ready To Send Aid For Victims Of Israeli Attacks In Lebanon

JAKARTA - President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran's Ministry of Health and all aid agencies in the country were ready to provide assistance to those injured in Israeli airstrikes against Lebanon.

That was conveyed by President Pezeshkian at Sunday's cabinet hearing, confirming the assassination of Hezbollah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah once again proved the Zionist criminal regime was not bound by any international regulations.

The promises of US and European leaders of the ceasefire in exchange for Iran's refusal to respond to the assassination of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh on July 30 in Tehran were all lies, he said, quoted by IRNA September 30.

According to him, giving these criminals opportunities will make them dare to commit more crimes.

The Iranian president stressed that Lebanese fighters should not be left alone in this war, so Israel will attack the Axis states of the Resistance one after another and kill innocent women and children.

He also warned Islamic countries not to remain silent in the face of the crimes of this regime which he said had proven to be the main reason for the occurrence of war, insecurity, and murder in the world.

Stressing on responding to this crime is a must, he cited the historical experience of moves fighting for freedom not to be destroyed by the assassination of their leaders, dozens of others will replace them and hold the anti-trianized flag.

Iran stepped up its attack on Lebanon over the past week, after being involved in cross-border attacks with the southern-based Hezbollah group Lebanon.

Last weekend, Israel claimed to have killed Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasollah in Friday's attack, which the group later confirmed and his body had been evacuated from the rubble.

Lebanese Health Ministry said more than 1,000 Lebanese had been killed and 6,000 others injured in the past two weeks, without specifying how many of them were civilians.

The Lebanese government says one million people, a fifth of the population, have fled their homes.
