Google Adds Storage Indicator In Web Gmail
JAKARTA Recently, Google rolled out a small update to the Gmail website. The company added a storage indicator from Google's cloud service. This indicator is also a Google One shortcut.
Quoting from the 9to5google report, this storage indicator will appear when the user clicks on the profile image in the upper right corner to switch accounts. This specific information for cloud storage is placed at the bottom of the Exit menu from All Accounts.
Users will see a storage logo and a description of the number that has been used. For example, if a user subscribes to cloud storage of 2TB, the information that appears is, "3 percent of 2TB is used."
If the storage indicator is clicked, the user will switch to one.google.com/storage page. This page displays more detailed storage information.

This storage indicator is not only visible in the Gmail account transfer mode, but is also added to other Google services such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides. The display is also the same, only including the amount of storage usage in percentage form.
Although Google Drive is an important platform to store various types of files, Google does not add storage indicators on the platform. This is done because Drive already has a special indicator.
Keep in mind that this change can only be seen if the user opens Gmail, Docs, Sheets, or Slides via the desktop browser. Users will not see a storage indicator if they open a web Gmail via a mobile browser because of its very different interface.
