Mandalika 2024 MotoGP Sprint Race: Full Of Drama And Crash, Martin Falls, Bagnaia Wins
JAKARTA - The 2024 Mandalika MotoGP sprint Race gave birth to many dramas and crashes on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Francesco Bagnaia came out victorious in the 13 lap race. Jorge Martin, who won pole position, was thrown into 10th position as a result of falling.
Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, who suffered losses, fell twice during the Qualification session this morning, was able to improve his performance. He took the third podium.
The front row of the Sprint Race is filled by Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecki, and Pedrodeca.
Jorge Martin initially managed to control the leading position after the start. Francesco Bagnaia was stalking behind him.
Marc Marquez drove very fast on the initial lap by moving into fifth position. In fact, he started the Sprint Race from the 12th grid.
Disaster has arrived on lap 1. Jorge Martin fell at the end of lap 1. He exited the track in the low side incident while holding.
Even so, the Pramac Ducati Racing racer was still able to return to track and targusur until the 15th position. As a result, Bagnaia took over the outpost followed by Bezzecchi who appeared stable.
On lap 3, the crash happened again. This time Joan Mir was hit by bad luck and fell from his motorbike and could not continue the race.
In the remaining 10 laps, Bagnaia and Bezzecki began to form their own groups up front. Marc Marquez is chasing in third place to try to enliven the competition.
The Gresini Racing racer overtook Bezzecki to take second place when there were six laps remaining.
Unexpectedly, Enea Bastianini approached quickly. He could even displace Bezzecchi from third place to stick to Marquez.
On the remaining three laps, Enea Bastianini began to close the distance with Marc Marquez. Meanwhile, Bagnaia's position is still not safe from the pursuit of the two riders.
Ahead of the final lap, Bastianini finally managed to overtake Marc Marquez to take second place.
Bagnaia also came out as the winner of the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP Sprint Race after being able to defend his position. Marc Marquez had to settle for finishing in third place.
Unfortunately for Jorge Martin. His efforts pushed into the Sprint Race point zone failed because he only finished in 10th position.
The main Mandalika 2024 MotoGP race will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
