Marco Bezzecki's Awakening, Incar Podium Sprint Race Is His First Season

JAKARTA - Marco Bezzecchi actually did not undergo the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP Qualification properly on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

He fell, lay on the ground, and was thrown to seventh position in just a few minutes.

He shot up to second place, just below Jorge Martin who took pole position.

The record at that time lasted until the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP Qualification was completed. Bezzecki will start on the front grid in Sunday's race, September 29, 2024.

"I did a very good second round with the second tire. However, I faced a lot of yellow flags."

"So, before the final lap I wanted to slow down a bit in the last sector and then speed up for the final flight lap. However, I lost a bit of concentration and I fell."

"Fortunately, the bike was fine and the officers helped me turn on the bike. I started my last round as soon as the accident."

"I know I can be fast, but I didn't imagine (would start) in the first row. So, what can I say? I'm very happy," Bezzecchi said.

Bezzecchi also benefited from the large number of strong competitors who crashed during Qualification.

In fact, he was previously not taken into account being able to secure the front grid after only occupying the 19th position during the last Practice.

Bezzecki will now pursue its first Sprint Race podium this season in a 13 lap race at 15.00 WIB.
