Having Great Potential, The Ministry Of Industry Reveals This Step To Develop Halal Industry
JAKARTA - As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has very high potential to develop the halal industry, starting from food and beverages, cosmetics, fashion, pharmaceuticals and others.
Therefore, the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is carrying out several efforts to support business actors, especially in the Small and Medium Industry (IKM) sector to take advantage of the huge potential of the digital economy.
One of them is by providing briefing to small and medium industry players (IKM) through the e-smart program.
"Through the e-smart program, IKM players are given various briefings so that they can compete in the digital market, such as creating content that attracts attention both in the form of photos and videos on several platforms including social media, writing good ad sentences in the form of copywriting and digital marketing strategies that are in accordance with their products," said Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) of the Ministry of Industry Reni Yanita in a written statement, Friday, September 27.
In addition, the guidance provided by the Ministry of Industry includes a product communication technique that provides a sense of security for consumers through the inclusion of certification, one of which is halal certification.
According to Reni, there are still many industry players who do not yet have halal certification. In addition, there are business actors who think that with the condition of the population in Indonesia, the majority of Muslims, the domestic halal market has been convincing.
"But don't forget, the potential for a large market, otherwise we will respond with a halal certificate, which will be filled by foreign producers or imports," he said.
