Mandalika MotoGP Practice Results: Fastest Bastianini, Seventh Marquez
JAKARTA Ducati Lenovo Team racer, Enea Bastianini, managed to get out as the fastest in the 2024 Mandalika Grand Prix MotoGP Practice session.
The winner of last week's Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix dominated this session with a best lap time of one minute 29.630 seconds at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on Friday, September 27, 2024, afternoon WIB.
The rider who is familiarly called La Bestia is 0.040 seconds ahead of the ruler of the 2024 season's standings, Jorge Martin, who is trailing in second place.
The time note made Bastianini officially the holder of a new all-time lap record at the Mandalika International Circuit.

Taking third place in this session is Bastianini's teammate, Franco Morbidelli. The rider who also came from Italy finished the session with a time difference of 0.079 seconds from his compatriot.
In the early minutes, actually Morbidelli and Pedrodecana (Red Bull GAS Tech3) and Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing) took turns in the first position.
However, the competition then changed to Bastianini and Martin in the remaining 15 minutes of the session. The two riders fought fiercely to put in the fastest lap time.
Meanwhile, defending champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) was almost eliminated to Q1. Fortunately, the driver who is familiarly called Pecco can improve his time record ahead of the end of the session and finish in fourth place.
Pecco is ahead of Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) who managed to lock up fifth. Following that Fabio Quartararo was in sixth place and Marc Marquez was the seventh.
Next, there's rookie Pedro Acosta in eighth place, Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) in ninth place, and Maverick Vinales completes the top 10.
