JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that the price of rice in mills has decreased during March 2021. The decline occurred in all qualities, both premium and medium, when compared to March 2020.
Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics, BPS Setianto, said that the average price of premium quality rice in the mills was IDR 9,607 per kilogram (kg), a decrease of 1.69 percent compared to the previous month. The price of medium quality rice in the mills is IDR 9,154 per kg or a decrease of 2.48 percent.
Meanwhile, said Setianto, the average price of non-quality rice in mills was IDR 8,742 per kg or decreased by 4.42 percent.
"Compared to March 2020, the average price of rice milled in March 2021 for premium, medium and non-quality quality fell by 4.72 percent, 6.85 percent and 7.60 percent, respectively," he told the conference. press virtually, in Jakarta, Thursday, April 1.
Then, said Setianto, during March, the price of harvested dry unhulled rice (GKP) at the farmer level was Rp4,385 per kg or decreased by 7.85 percent and at the milling level was Rp.4,481 per kg or decreased by 7.86 percent compared to the price of quality unhulled rice. the same in the previous month.
Meanwhile, during March the average price of milled dry unhulled rice (GKG) at the farm level was Rp 5,214 per kg or decreased by 1.99 percent and at the milling level was Rp. 5,331 per kg or decreased by 1.85 percent. The price of non-quality unhulled rice at the farmer level is Rp4,043 per kg or decreased by 6.84 percent and at the milling level is Rp4,138 per kg or decreased by 6.95 percent.
Setianto said that when compared to March last year, the average price of unhulled rice in March 2021 at the farmer level for the quality of GKP, GKG and non-quality unhulled grain fell by 11.17 percent, 9.57 percent and 11.86 percent respectively.
"At the milling level, the average price of unhulled rice in March 2021 compared to March 2020 for the quality of GKP, GKG, and non-quality unhulled rice decreased by 10.92 percent, 9.46 percent and 11.44 percent, respectively," he said.
