Erick Thohir: SOEs Continue To Support Government Programs To Create Emission-Free 2060
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohit said the government encourages the use of biofuel (BBN), to reduce emissions, especially in the transportation sector. One of them is through the use of bioethenol for fuel.
Erick said that since two years ago, the Ministry of SOEs and state-owned companies have run a bioethenol program for energy security.
Last year Pertamina launched
Pertamax Green 95 with 5 percent bioethenol content, Erick wrote on his Instagram account @erickthohir, quoted Friday, September 27.
Furthermore, Erick said state-owned companies in energy will continue to support government programs to achieve emission-free Indonesia in 2060.
"We continue to support the government's program to achieve net zero emissions by 2060," he wrote again.

This support, he continued, was realized through the construction of a bioethenol factory in Banyuwangi, East Java by Pertamina in collaboration with SugarCo.
Furthermore, Erick said the bioethenol factory is projected to have a production capacity of up to 30,000 kiloliters per year.
