Succeeding PON XX Papua, DPD Provides Budget Support Solutions For Regional KONI
JAKARTA - The Chairman of DPD La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti opened the Preparatory Coordination Meeting for PON XX and Peparnas XVI Papua at the Nusantara V MPR/DPR building.
La Nyalla invited Provincial Governments throughout Indonesia to make the event a success. He provides solutions for additional budget support from the Provincial Government for each regional KONI.
One of the efforts offered by the Chairman of the DPD is the Provincial Government, concerning Government Regulation Number 12 of 2019 concerning Regional Financial Management and Amendments to Permendagri Number 13 of 2006 concerning Amendments to the Regional Budget.
In today's Coordination Meeting, the DPD deliberately invited the Ministry of Home Affairs and Jamdatun to assist the Governor in ensuring that budget support through the Expenditure Before Revised APBD scheme was not a mistake or a mistake.
"I hope the Governor can take what is commonly referred to as Expenditures before the Revised APBD, by taking into account financial and legal norms and norms", said La Nyalla.
As reported by the General Chairperson of the Central KONI, several provincial governments did not budget sufficiently for the Regional KONI. Because at the time of the preparation of the 2021 R-APBD, several provincial governments still assumed that the XX Papua PON would be postponed again due to the COVID-19 pandemic that had not yet subsided.
The former Chairman of the PSSI said that preparation and budget support for regional KONI was very important. Especially for the cost of departure, accommodation, local transportation, and the repatriation of contingents from several provinces that are quite far from Papua. This requires substantial budget support.
"Moreover, there are several venues that can only be reached by air and sea, so it must be a concern. Consequently, a large budget is needed for transportation", he explained.
The chairman of the East Java Chamber of Commerce's Honorary Council hopes that PON XX Papua and Peparnas 16 Papua can be held successfully and with quality.
"And it will become a selection arena for athletes for events at the next level. Both at the Sea Games and the Asian Games", he said.
This coordination activity involved Chairman of Committee III DPD RI Sylviana Murni, Chairmen and Members of Committee III DPD RI, Minister of Youth and Sports, Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, several Governors, Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration, General Chairperson of KONI Center, Chairperson of PB PON XX Papua, General Chairperson of the Indonesian Provincial KONI.
