Kaltara KPU Holds Declaration Of Peaceful Campaigns
TANJUNG SELOR - The General Election Commission (KPU) of North Kalimantan Province (Kaltara) held a Declaration of Peaceful Campaign for the Election of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Kaltara in 2024 at the Cinta Damai Tugu Tanjung Selor, Bulungan.
The activity on Tuesday, September 24, as reported on Wednesday, September 25, was attended by three Candidate Pairs (Paslon) for Governor and Deputy Governor of Kaltara, namely number 1 Sulaiman-Adri Patton, serial number 2 Zainal A Paliwang-Ingkong Ala and serial number 3 Yansen TP-Suratno.
In addition, it was also attended by the North Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto, the Head of the Kaltara High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati), Amiek Mulandari and elements of the Kaltara Forkompinda, 18 Political Parties (Parpol) and supporters of each candidate pair.
This activity was marked by the pronunciation and signing of the declaration of a peaceful campaign by each Paslon, Election Organizer and Forkompinda Kaltara.
The declarations made include realizing direct, honest, general, free, secret, honest and fair elections and carrying out a safe and orderly campaign.
"Beintegritas without hoaxes, without politicization of SARA and without money politics. Carry out the campaign based on applicable regulations," said Kaltara KPU chairman Haryadi Hamid, followed by candidate pairs and representatives of political parties.
He explained, starting from Wednesday, September 25, it has entered the Campaign period for that his party held a Declaration of Peace Campaign with the Paslon.
"This declaration is to jointly commit to keeping this Continent Earth or North Kalimantan Province safe and peaceful," said Kaltara KPU chairman Hariyadi Hamid.
"We also apologize if during the stages there are shortcomings prepared by the KPU," he continued.
Meanwhile, the North Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto emphasized that this declaration was part of the seriousness of realizing a peaceful campaign.
"During the campaign, it is hoped that conveying ideas is not an attempt to bring down other candidates in various ways, such as black campaigns, hoaxes and hate speech," said the Kapolda.
The Kapolda also reminded that during the campaign the Paslon, Political Parties and teams were successful in using social media wisely.
"The bad news that occurs in one area can affect other areas. For this reason, it is hoped that all components of society can maintain mutual security so that the regions remain conducive during the campaign to the Pilkada to be held," said the Kapolda.
