The Police Headquarters 'Breached' Terror Attacks, Muhammadiyah: A Hard Slap For The Police

JAKARTA - The Muhammadiyah Central Executive is concerned about the terror attack that took place at the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday afternoon, March 31. Muhammadiyah assessed that the attack that took place inside the police headquarters was like a heavy slap to the National Police institution.

"This is a harsh slap for the security apparatus, especially the police. Because it is done in the heart of the national security command," said General Secretary of PP Muhammadiyah Abdul Mu'ti in his statement, Thursday, April 1.

The National Police, he continued, should not underestimate the threat of terrorism in the country. Moreover, from this incident, the terror acts have involved women.

Therefore, said Mu'ti, the National Police must further strengthen security and supervision in eradicating terrorism in Indonesia. Not only protecting the community, including threats to the police itself.

"The police not only protect and provide security guarantees for the community but protect themselves," he said.
