Bandung Police Investigate Case Of Steward Persecuted By Bobotoh
Bandung City Police followed up on reports of mistreatment of stadium security officers (stewards) carried out by Persib Bandung supporters after the match against Persija Jakarta at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, West Java, on Monday (23/9).
Bandung Police Chief Kombes Kusworo Wibowo said his party had received reports of acts of persecution by Bobotoh (as Persib supporters) which resulted in nine stewards being injured.
"The information we have received so far is that there are nine people (victims) and eight people we asked for information yesterday because there are no obstacles in giving testimony," said Kusworo, quoted by ANTARAA, Wednesday, September 25.
Kusworo said that there was one steward who was still undergoing intensive treatment at the Oto Iskandar Dinata Regional General Hospital (Otista), Soreang, Bandung Regency, because he suffered head injuries.
"There is one steward being treated because he still feels dizzy and is still being treated at the hospital," he said.
The police are currently investigating the case of the beatings carried out by dozens of stewards in the match.
"From the results of our investigation, we have pocketed several identities that we are currently investigating to ensure that the person concerned is the perpetrator," said Kusworo.

The evidence examined will be used as evidence from the officers so that they can reveal the perpetrators of the supporters who abused the stadium security officers.
"We immediately took witness examination steps, we immediately collected evidence, and we conducted an investigation to find the identity of the perpetrators of violence," he said.
Kusworo conveyed that the riot incident occurred a few minutes. Then the TNI and Polri officers managed to break up this incident by blocking supporters who entered the field to return to their respective stands.
"However, this lasted briefly, only five to 10 minutes. The TNI and Polri immediately entered to secure, intervene. Thank God there were no problems and there were no victims. Immediately safe, clear," he said.
