The Killer Of Abang Tiri Because Of A 'Pak Ogah' Land Quarrel, The Car Round In Medan Was Demanded 10 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Medan District Attorney (Kejari), North Sumatra demanded Gilang Prasetya alias Ucok (21) with a prison sentence of 10 years for being proven to have killed Panji Satria (32), his half-brother in Medan City.

"Asking the panel of judges to sentence the defendant Gilang Prasetya alias Ucok to 10 years in prison," said Medan Prosecutor Elvina Elisabeth Sianipar at the Medan District Court, Tuesday, September 24.

The prosecutor stated that the defendant's actions had fulfilled the elements of committing the crime of murder, namely violating Article 338 of the Criminal Code as the primary indictment.

"From the facts of the trial, the defendant was found guilty by deliberately taking the lives of others," he said.

"Things that are burdensome for the defendant's actions because he has killed other people's lives, while mitigating things are polite during the trial," said Elvina.

After listening to the reading of the charges, Chief Judge As'ad Rahim Lubis postponed the trial and continued on Tuesday (1/10) with the agenda of reading the defense note or plea from the defendant.

Elvina prosecutor in the indictment stated that the case began on Monday (22/4) at around 12.00 WIB, when the defendant came to Jalan Dormitory, Dwikora Village, Medan Helvetia District, with the aim of arranging the car screening.

Arriving at the location, the defendant sat in one of the cafes. Not long after, the defendant saw the victim making arrangements for the car screening.

Then, the defendant told the victim, "You've been here all afternoon, you've got a lot of money. I just arranged here, I haven't got the money, don't bother me first".

Hearing that, the victim replied "do you want?", and an argument between the defendant and the victim ensued. Then, the victim pulled the defendant to the side of the road, precisely in front of the cafe, and the victim hit the defendant.

Furthermore, the victim took a knife from a mill in front of the cafe by swinging the knife at the defendant, and the defendant tried to avoid it.

The defendant ran towards the kitchen of the cafe and took one pair of scissors, and immediately went to the victim in front of the cafe. Next, the defendant swung the scissors at the victim's neck.

As a result of the stab, the victim walked towards the Hermina Hospital in Medan, on Jalan Dormitory with the defendant following the victim from behind.

The victim was treated, but his life could not be saved because of bleeding due to a cut in the blood vessel in the left side of the neck due to a sharp object stab.
