Safari Park Management Opens Voice About The Death Of A Handler Attacked By A Bali Safari Elephant
GIANYAR - The management of Taman Safari Indonesia Group opened their voices regarding the death of Komang Resi Yasa (27) because he was attacked by an elephant. The victim is an elephant handler at Bali Safari and Marine Park, Gianyar Regency.
SVP Marketing Taman Safari Indonesia Group Alexander Zulkarnain said Taman Safari Indonesia expressed its condolences to one of the mahiut or elephant handlers Komang Resi Yasa who died in a work accident.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and all those who know him. The Bali Safari Park will continue to provide support to the families left behind during this mourning period," said Zulkarnain, Tuesday, September 24.
He explained that the incident occurred when the deceased or victim was carrying out their duties when interacting with an elephant. His party is committed to fully understanding the situation in order to prevent similar incidents in the future.
"The deceased is a figure full of dedication and affection in caring for our elephants, and has become an inseparable part of the extended family of Taman Safari Bali. His passing leaves a deep sadness for all of our teams and the animal-loving community," he added.
Zulkarnain emphasized that Safari Park highly upholds work safety standards and strict operational procedures. Danmahout in Safari Park has undergone the necessary training and works in accordance with Operational Standards
