Special Committee For The Implementation Of Hajj 2024 Red Report Card Of Minister Of Religion Yaqut

JAKARTA - Member of the Special Committee (Pansus) for Hajj Angket DPR Marwan Jafar assessed the implementation of the 2024 Hajj as a report card for the Minister of Religion (Menag).

"Yes, that's it, if the violations are written down, what was asked earlier was automatically the red report card. Not only the red report card, it is not appropriate to become the Minister of Religion. Not only the red report card, because it is already related to law enforcement officials," said Marwan Jafar as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 24.

The red report card given by the Hajj Special Committee is not without reason, the various findings in the sessions that have been carried out do have the possibility of a role from the Ministry of Religion in the issue of the implementation of the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage.

In fact, the Hajj Special Committee has also summoned the Minister of Religion (Menag) several times, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas for questioning and also accountability reports during the 2024 Hajj activities.

"Many times the Minister of Religion did not heed the summons from the Hajj Special Committee. With various activities. The Minister of Religion has been recorded as having been absent three times in the agenda of the meeting held by the Hajj Special Committee," he said.

"The Minister of Religion has been called and not present three times, which was supposed to be on Monday (23/9) there should have been the last call, the third call," he said.

He asked the public to continue to be able to guard and also not forget about this for the sake of smooth implementation of the pilgrimage in the years to come.

"If fellow journalists and the public do not supervise, its contents can get caught in the wind. And therefore, the escort inside is indeed very fluid and each faction can do anything, it can recommend anything, it can make any conclusions. So each of them has their own views," he said.
