Bandung Rocked by Earthquake, This Time M 2.7 on Tuesday Morning

JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 rocked Bandung Regency, West Java, Tuesday, September 24. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the earthquake occurred at 09.24 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at coordinates 7.20 degrees south latitude (LS) and 107.46 degrees east longitude at a distance of 21 kilometers southwest of Bandung Regency, with a depth of 10 kilometers.

"This information prioritizes speed, so the data processing results are not yet stable and can change as the data becomes more complete," wrote BMKG on the X account.

Previously, the last earthquake in Bandung Regency occurred on September 18, 2024 with a magnitude of 5.0 and 3.1.

The West Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that 700 houses were damaged by the 5.0 magnitude earthquake that rocked Bandung Regency at 09.41 WIB.
