Damaged Houses In Sukabumi, Dozens Of Supporters Of The Jakmania Arrested

SUKABUMI - Police managed to arrest dozens of people suspected of being members of The Jakmania related to the destruction of a house in Sukabumi City, whose video went viral on social media.

A total of 13 perpetrators have been arrested out of a total of about 100 people involved in the incident on Jalan Pajagalan, Nyomplong Village, Warudoyong District.

Kasat Reskrim Sukabumi City Police, AKP Bagus Panuntun revealed that the perpetrators were supporters of Persija. The house that was damaged was suspected to be a gathering place for Persib supporters.

"They carried out convoys wearing Persija attributes. The perpetrators came from various regions, including Cikembar, Jampang, and Cisaat. They gathered in Sukabumi, not from Jakarta," said Bagus on Tuesday, September 24.

According to him, the motive for the vandalism was triggered by provocation. After watching together, Persija supporters carried out a convoy from Nyomplong to Odeon. While passing, several perpetrators heard voices from inside the house saying dirty words, so they were provoked to destroy them.

"The perpetrators damaged the house and looked for the person who issued the words. After the destruction, they continued their journey to the next point, namely Odeon," he explained.

Fortunately, there were no casualties in this incident. Only the fence and the front of the house of one of the residents in Nyomplong were damaged by the actions of Persija sympathizers.
