West Java KPU Asks All Pilgub Paslons, Pilwalkot, Pilbub To Campaign Peacefully
The General Election Commission (KPU) of West Java has demanded the commitment of the candidate pair for regional head starting from the Governor Election (Pilgub), the Mayor Election (Pilwalkot), the 2024 Regent Election (Pilbup) to hold a campaign peacefully.
West Java KPU chairman Ummi Wahyuni said that the peace declaration on Tuesday was carried out just a day before the start of the campaign period on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
"After the plenary meeting on the determination of the serial number of regional head candidates, we will make a peace declaration, the four of them will sign a declaration with stakeholders, the goal is that we start the campaign with a peaceful declaration of conveying the vision and mission peacefully," said Ummi at the West Java KPU Building, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 23.
On that occasion, Ummi also explained that electoral logistics had begun to be distributed starting Tuesday, including ballots and ballots for the visually impaired, although the winners of some needs were still being prepared.
"It has started on Tuesday. The auction is still being prepared. For ballots, there will be a number of DPT + 2.5 percent," said Ummi.
Meanwhile, the HR for election organizers at the TPS, namely the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) will be set on November 7, 2024 and then placed according to its TPS on November 27, 2024.
"For the number per polling station, namely at 73,862 polling stations, there are nine officers consisting of seven KPPS and two security guards," he said.
Ummi said she was optimistic that the 2024 Pilkada would run well with the establishment of coordination and communication with all parties, especially Bawaslu as one of the election organizers.
"Alhamdulillah, we and Bawaslu together with relevant stakeholders always communicate, for example when there is a double DPT there is also no problem, so we will immediately follow up," said Ummi.

The plenary meeting for the serial number draw for the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor for the 2024 West Java Pilkada resulted in the Acep Adang-Gitalis pair Dwi Natarina getting serial number 1, Jeje Wiradinata-Ronal Surapradja number 2, Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Habibie number 3, and Dedi Mulyadi-Erwan Setiawan number 4.
Meanwhile, for the number of Permanent Voter Lists (DPT), the West Java KPU set the number of voters in West Java in the 2024 Pilkada as many as 35,925,960 with a total of 73,862.
