Minister Of Religion 3 Times Not Present, Special Committee Of The House Of Representatives Starts Completing Recommendations And Conclusion Of Hajj Implementation

JAKARTA - The Special Committee (Pansus) for Hajj Rights 2024 is entering the stage of drafting recommendations and conclusions regarding the implementation of the 2024 Hajj. These recommendations and conclusions were made after the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas was three times absent from the summons of the Hajj Special Committee.

The preparation of these recommendations and conclusions was carried out in the Banggar room, the DPR building, the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (23/9/2024) afternoon.

"For the recommendation of the Hajj Special Committee team today, September 23, we will have a meeting in the Banggar DPR room to provide recommendations and conclusions from the Hajj Special Committee," said member of the Hajj Special Committee Wisnu Wijaya at the DPR building, parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday 23 September.

Wisnu said the Hajj Special Committee no longer had time to summon Minister Yaqut to provide information and explanations regarding the implementation of the 2024 Hajj. The reason, he said, was that the DPR would soon cover the last session of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period.

"So what we are waiting for is recommendations and conclusions. Of course, this is a transition period and the new government will continue and when we continue it will definitely look at or see the conclusions today," said Wisnu.

Wisnu said the public could judge for themselves the absence of Menagi at the Hajj Special Committee meeting. In fact, he said, within approximately 1 month, various related parties were present at the Hajj Special Committee, even Minister Yaqut also appealed to his staff to attend the special committee meeting if his statement was needed.

"At that time, Menagi appealed to anyone to attend. However, in turn, this is indeed the last rundown, yes, in turn, he is not present, so the public will judge," he said.

According to Wisnu, the Hajj Special Committee forum is actually the best opportunity to attend and provide a comprehensive explanation to the pilgrims for various untrue accusations.

"This is a defense of the minister of religion when our accusations that our findings are not true, they should be present to defend the accusations. However, when they are not present? Yes, it will not affect us at all. We have given the first, second, and third summons," concluded Vishnu.
