IKN Development Budget Until August 2024 Capai IDR 18.9 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance noted that until August 2024, the realization of the capital city development budget for the archipelago (IKN) had reached Rp. 18.9 trillion or 43.1 percent of the ceiling of Rp. 44 trillion.

"We continue to monitor this because road work continues, the work on physical infrastructure and non-infrastructure development will continue, later when infrastructure development has been completed, the physical work handover will be completed, the budget absorption will increase quickly, possibly towards the end of the year," said Deputy Minister of Finance I Suahasil Nazara at the APBNKI Press Conference, Monday, September 23.

Suahasil conveyed that the realization was distributed to several clusters, including the infrastructure cluster of IDR 16.2 trillion from the ceiling of IDR 40.7 trillion.

This budget is used for construction in buildings in the state palace area, the Coordinating Ministry and other ministries, as well as the OIKN building.

Furthermore, the construction of ASN and Hankam flat towers, ministerial landed houses, IKN hospitals, IKN toll roads, IKN roads and bridges, and VVIP Airport, as well as arrangement and refinement of the Sepaku Semoi Dam area, KIPP reservoir, IKN flood control.

Meanwhile, non-infrastructure clusters amounting to Rp2.7 trillion from the Rp3.3 trillion ceiling, which is used for OIKN operations; planning, coordination, and preparation of transfers, promotion/publicity / socialization of IKN, reports and policy recommendations at K/L, mapping, monitoring and evaluation activities and support for the security of the Police.

For information, the total IKN budget allocation from 2022 to 2024 is IDR 76.5 trillion.

The realization of the IKN budget continues to increase from year to year, namely in 2022 it reaches IDR 5.5 trillion, the realization of 2023 is IDR 27 trillion, and in 2024 the budget is IDR 44 trillion.
