This Is Dia Valley, The Band Behind The 1999 Viral Song Like

JAKARTA - Thanks to the TikTok video platform, many musicians and songs have gone viral and are known to many people. One of them, Canadian indie pop band Valley, was the singer behind the song Like 1999.

The music video, released on Tuesday, March 30, features TikTok creator Boman playing the shitty director and directing the 90s-style Valley shoot.

Then, the video rolls into a 1990s music show in which Valley sings Like 1999.

Valley is a band consisting of Rob Laska, Karah James, Mickey Brandolino, and Alex DiMauro. Most recently they joined Capitol Records and Universal Music Canada.

Valley started their career by releasing Nevermind in 2016. Then they released a mini album entitled Sucks to see you doing better. They were also selected as the opening band for Lennon Stella and The Band CAMINO in 2019.

The presence of the song Like 1999 began when they recorded a song during their quarantine last year. After being watched more than 700 thousand times, they promised to release the song when the video has been watched up to one million.

After success, Valley began recording Like 1999 professionally and the results could be seen in the music videos that were released. To celebrate its release, Valley launched a microsite like1999.com where users could see the 1990s desktop and play Minesweeeper games, create Spotify Canvas and listen to WinAmp 1999 likes.

Valley's Like 1999 can be listened to digitally and the music video can be watched below.
