Support The Prohibited Homecoming Policy, KAI Does Not Serve Ticket Sales For Eid 2021
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is committed to supporting the banning of homecoming which has been regulated by the government. Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Operating 1 Jakarta Area Eva Chairunisa said that her party had not yet served the sales of train tickets for Eid 2021 transportation.
"Until now, KAI has not served ticket sales for Eid 2021 Transportation. For the Operating 1 Jakarta Area, new ticket booking services are open for train departures until April 30, 2021", Eva said in her written statement, Wednesday, March 31.
This policy, she continued, was carried out to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic by government directives. Its implementation also refers to the policies contained in the COVID-19 Task Force Circular Letter and the Ministry of Transportation.
"Towards the moment of Eid 2021, as a form of support for efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, all train travel requirements will still follow the rules set by the government", she said.
Furthermore, she explained the rules requiring all candidates KAJJ (Long-Distance Train) users to have a COVID-19 detection examination file. There are three types of tests to choose from, namely polymerase chain reaction or swab test, GeNose, and rapid antigen.
Passengers are advised to take the H-1 test before departure. Meanwhile, COVID-19 detection test services through GeNose devices are available at Gambir Station, Pasar Senen, and Bekasi.
"When purchasing a Long-Distance Train ticket, customers can add the GeNose C19 inspection service directly to the KAI Access application. A GeNose C19 fee of IDR 30 thousand will be automatically added to the total transaction payment", Eva explained.
"KAI has also provided convenience in seat selection services when purchasing train tickets so that physical distancing is still applied in some trains", she concluded.
