A Total Score Of 41 Goals, Harry Kane Breaks England's Most Fertile Striker Record In Bundesliga

JAKARTA - Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane broke the record as a British player with the most goals in the Bundesliga or German League.

The record recorded by Kane with The Bavarians was 41 goals from 36 matches, past the top score record previously held by former Borussia Dortmund striker Jadon Sancho who scored 40 goals from 188 matches.

"Kane passed Jude Bellingham, surpassing Kevin Keegan, running from Tony Woodcock's record goals and has now surpassed (goal records) Jadon Sancho," the Bundesliga official website wrote on Sunday.

The England captain added to his coffers in Bayern Munich's victory over Wolfsburg, 5-0 in the fourth week of the German League which took place at Wesers Stadium, Bremen, Saturday night WIB.

An additional one goal from Wolfsburg also brought Harry Kane now at the top of the German League's top scorer list by scoring a total of five goals in four games.

"It was an incredible week. Congratulations to the players for their proper attitude and mentality. Today, we played an away game against an opponent who remained unbeaten in the league for a while," said Harry Kane, quoted from Bayern Munich's official website.

This season the former Tottenham Hotspur player has had a good season as a goal-hungry striker after scoring four goals in the Champions League opener against Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday (18/9).
