10.53 Million Taxpayers Have Reported Annual SPT, Most Through Online
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has recorded 10.53 million Taxpayers (WP), both Individuals (OP) and Entities who have reported annual notification letters (SPT) with the 2020 tax year from the beginning of 2021 to 31 March .
"The progress of the annual tax return with the latest updated data is as of March 31, 2021 at 08.37 WIB," said the quote from the official statement of the DGT, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 31.
The DGT stated that the 10.53 million taxpayers included 10.22 million individual taxpayers and 309 thousand corporate taxpayers.
Meanwhile, of the 10.22 million OPs, consisting of 9.86 million people who report their Annual Tax Returns via e-Filling and 362 thousand manually. Then for 309 thousand corporate taxpayers, 261 thousand through e-Filing and 48 thousand manually.
Furthermore, the DGT also noted that the total number of taxpayers who had reported Annual Tax Returns last year amounted to 8.91 million people by the end of 2020, including 8.65 million OP Taxpayers and 258 thousand Corporate Taxpayers.
Of the total 8.65 million OP taxpayers who reported SPT last year, it consisted of 8.37 million people through e-Filing and 278 thousand manually. Meanwhile, the 258 thousand corporate taxpayers who reported their SPT by the end of 2020 included 213 thousand via e-Filing and 44 thousand manually.
"Compared to last year for now, SPT reporting is 1.62 million higher for SPTs that have been submitted," he wrote.
Based on the official page of tax.go.id, the submission of the Annual Tax Return of the OP Taxpayer with the 2020 tax year will end on March 31, 2021, while Corporate Taxpayers will be on April 30, 2021.
