Starting Tomorrow, Surabaya Residents Simply Show KTP For Free Health Services At 42 Hospitals

SURABAYA - The special health insurance for Surabaya residents will be effective starting April. If you want to seek treatment, Surabaya residents only need to show their Surabaya KTP at 42 hospitals (RS) that work with the Surabaya City Government.

"Public health insurance for residents of Surabaya is 97 percent complete. It means that as of April 1 tomorrow, it is already running," said Deputy Mayor of Surabaya, Armuji, in Surabaya, Wednesday, March 31.

There are also 42 hospitals in Surabaya, including Dr Soewadhie Hospital, Bhakti Dharma Husada Hospital, Dr Soetomo Hospital, Dr Ramelan Hospital, Menur Hospital, Haji Hospital Surabaya, Jemursari Islamic Hospital, Airlangga University Hospital, William Booth Hospital Surabaya, PHC Hospital , Royal Hospital to Undaan Eye Hospital.

Apart from 42 hospitals, Surabaya residents can also get free health services through 63 Puskesmas and eight main clinics in Surabaya. Namely, Dasa Medika Main Clinic, Java Cataract Eye Clinic, Dr Syamsu Eye Clinic, Tritiya Eye Clinic, 3D Hemodialysis Main Clinic, Surabaya Eye Clinic, 3D Main Clinic, and Usada Buana Inpatient Clinic.

"This is the result of cooperation between the City Government and BPJS Health, which has been signed together," he said.

Armuji said, for Surabaya residents who want to get this free health service, it is enough to show their Surabaya KTP. He said, people do not need to bring a Certificate of Disability (SKTM) to the urban village to guarantee the cost of medical treatment to the 42 hospitals.

"Because the costs have been borne by the Surabaya City Government, but for the third class. The important thing is the third class (service) of the hospital," he said.

The Surabaya City Government has also prepared a special Call Center for complaints about the program. According to Armuji, this Call Center is prepared to help residents who experience problems when using these health services. He hopes that Call Center officers can respond quickly to any complaints submitted by residents.

In addition, he said, the municipal government also provides complaint services through an android-based application called "Wargaku Surabaya". The community can download the application for free via the Google Playstore. The Surabaya City Government has also prepared a special Call Center for complaints about the program.

"So they (call centers) must be able to answer and be able to deal with, solve problems. This is what we hope, so that we maximize this health service even better," said Armuji.
