Russia Threatens Ukrainian Energy Supply Bombs Ahead Of Winter, EU Comes To Offer Aid

JAKARTA - The head of the European Union or the EU, Ursula von der Leyen, said that her party was offering international supplies to Ukraine ahead of winter.

The EU offer remembers Russia's threat to energy infrastructure in the country led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

My 8th visit to Kyiv comes as the warm-up season begins soon, and Russia continues to target energy infrastructure, Ursula wrote on social media X, followed by a photo of herself on arrival in Kyiv, Friday, September 20, quoted from AFP.

In addition to energy supply assistance, Ursula will also discuss the progress of the fresh fund loan process from G7 countries of around 50 billion US dollars for Ukraine agreed in June 2024.

"We will help Ukraine because of its daring efforts. I came here to discuss European support. From winter to defense preparations, to accession and advances in G7 loans," added Ursula.

The Russo-Ukrainian war has lasted for more than 30 months.

Ukraine currently controls parts of the Kursk region in Russia. Meanwhile, Russia continues to advance to eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine has lobbied its allies to allow it to use weapons from donations to attack "sah" military targets far within Russian territory.

The US and Britain, which are strong allies of Ukraine in this war, have allowed it, but pro-contras have emerged in a number of UN countries.

Its development, on Thursday 19 September, the European Parliament allowed Ukraine to use Western countries' aid weapons to strike military targets within Russian territory.
