165 ASN DKI Satpol PP Known To Be Involved In Online Gambling
JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) found 165 state civil servants (ASN) in the DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) playing online gambling.
The DKI Jakarta Inspectorate also sent a letter to the Head of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin to convey this. The letter numbered e.0519/P4.01.00 which was signed on September 10, 2024.
"We hereby convey that based on PPATK data sources, there are 165 ASN in your work environment who are indicated to carry out online gambling activities, with names as attached," wrote DKI Jakarta Inspectorate Secretary Dina Himawati in a letter, quoted on Friday, September 20.
In the letter, the names of civil servants who carry out online gambling activities and the nominal transactions they carry out. The DKI Jakarta Inspectorate also asked Arifin to provide guidance to his employees.
"In this regard, so that you immediately clarify and provide personnel guidance by referring to the provisions governing the discipline and code of ethics of Civil Servants," said Dina.
Some time ago, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono asked for data on the identities of online gambling players in Jakarta to the Online Gambling Eradication Task Force.
After obtaining the data, Heru will find out who the state civil apparatus (ASN) of the DKI Provincial Government and recipients of social assistance (bansos) are playing online gambling.
"I will ask PMK for the name. I am sure there are also some online gambling, I don't know, yes, our thoughts, there are also those who receive social assistance. If, ASN is clear the rules," said Heru in Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 1.

Heru emphasized that he would impose sanctions on ASN DKI Jakarta Provincial Government who were caught playing online gambling. The sanctions are regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline.
"Yes, if the ASN is clear, the rules already exist, it's just a matter of being treated by the sanctions concerned. Right, we haven't got the names yet," said Heru.
