Livin Application Contributes IDR 8 Billion Profit For Bank Mandiri

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk revealed that the digital transformation carried out helped boost profitability. Evidently, the Livin' by Mandiri application contributes to the company's profit of reaching IDR 8 billion per day.

Vice President of Digital Retail Banking Mandiri Harry Sofri Putranda said the profits came from digital application transactions Livin' by Mandiri. The number of transactions in the application touched 10,000 times in just one second.

"You could say this is the statistic, per day it prints around Rp. 8 billion profit for Bank Mandiri," he said in a media briefing, in Jakarta, Thursday, September 19.

In 2023, he continued, Livin' by Mandiri contributed IDR 2 trillion to the company's profits. Therefore, he said Bank Mandiri would use digital banking as a massive source of profit for the company.

"So in 2023, as a benchmark, around Rp. 2 trillion will go directly into the company. So it can be made from Livin' itself. So indeed the scale is very, very massive and we do see the business in digital banking itself," he said.

"On the digital channel itself, it is one of the businesses that can be said to be promising in this regard to the company's profits," he continued.

In addition, Harry said, Bank Mandiri also noted that users of the Livin' by Mandiri application had penetrated 25.4 million.

This figure increased by 37 percent on an annual basis or yoy.

Where, he continued, the total value of Livin' by Mandiri transactions reached Rp1,552 trillion with a transaction volume of 1.45 billion. Meanwhile, during the first semester of 2024, Bank Mandiri posted a net profit of Rp26.55 trillion or grew 5.23 percent on an annual basis.
