Former SMK Principal In South Bengkulu Defendant Of Corruption BOS Fund Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison
BENGKULU - The panel of judges at the Bengkulu Corruption Court sentenced Ahmad Soepriadi to four years in prison, a defendant in the corruption case of school operational assistance funds (BOS) for the 2021 '2022 period.
The defendant Ahmad Soepriadi is the former Principal (Kepsek) of the Vocational High School (SMK) IT Al Malik, South Bengkulu Regency.
"The suspect was sentenced to four years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to two months in prison," said Chief Justice Paisol during a trial reading the verdict at the Corruption Court at the Bengkulu District Court, Thursday.
In addition to imposing a prison sentence, the panel of judges also sentenced the defendant Ahmad Soepriadi to pay a replacement fee of Rp320 million, a subsidiary of 2 years and 3 months in prison.
"Based on the verdict that has been read, it is welcome for the defendant to consult with his legal adviser to take the next rare law," said Paisol.
Meanwhile, the defendant's legal adviser, Deden Abdul Hakim, explained that his party would conduct an in-depth investigation of the verdict before taking further legal steps.
Previously, the South Bengkulu District Attorney's public prosecutor charged the defendant with alleged corruption in the Al-Malik IT Al-Malik 2021 2022 BOS fund Ahmad Soepriadi with a sentence of five years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary of three months.
Public Prosecutor Rizza Oktavia Tunggal Putri said the demands were given based on Article 2 in conjunction with Article 18 paragraph (1) letter a, letter b, paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

The mode used by the defendant was to make fictitious data on students who were included in the basic education data (Dapodik) resulting in the state experiencing a loss of Rp. 323 million.
To recover state losses, the prosecutor's office has confiscated assets belonging to the defendant in the form of 1.2 hectares of land located in Kepaliang Village, Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency.
The confiscation was carried out in accordance with the Seizure Order Number: Print-207/L.7.13/Fd.1/04/2024 and the Determination Letter of the Chairman of the Manna District Court Number: 36/PenPid.B-SITA/2024/PN Mna.
The confiscation was carried out as an effort to save state losses due to criminal acts of corruption at SMK IT Al Malik, South Bengkulu Regency.
