Gold Thief Nurse Rp150 Million Belonging To A Stroke Employer Arrested By Police, Immitating Gold Exchange Mode
PeKANBARU - Sukajadi Sector Police, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province arrested a woman with the initials RY (31) who worked as an elderly nurse after stealing gold belonging to her employer worth Rp150 million.
Sukajadi Police Chief Kompol Jorminal Sitanggang said RY was desperate to steal when he had only been working at home on Rusa Street, Harjosari Village.
The perpetrator exchanged the gold for a fake gold that looked similar after committing the theft on Monday (2/9).
"The perpetrator took away the jewelry in the form of rings, bracelets and gold necklaces as many as 19 belonging to the victim with a loss value of Rp. 150 million," he said.
According to Jorminal, the victim is an elderly person who has a stroke.
The perpetrator's actions began to be caught by the family because RY did not come to work for the next four days.
The victim's child then checked the gold stored in the drawer. It turned out that the perpetrator first prepared imitation gold, but the victim's child realized it was fake," said Jorminal.

From the results of the examination, the perpetrator admitted to using the proceeds of crime for spree and buying luxury items. Among them are shoes, bags, perfume and others.
"The proceeds of the crime he used to buy luxury items such as bags, shoes, clothes, perfume and others. The perpetrator only lived alone with the victim because the victim's child worked out of town," he said.
Currently, RY is behind bars at the Sukajadi Police Headquarters in order to account for his actions.
As a result of his actions, RY was charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of more than seven years in prison.
