DPR Approves Prabowo Gibran's Government State Budget Worth IDR 3,621 T

JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) approved the Draft Law on the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RUU APBN) into law.

Thus, the government of the elected president of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has been able to run the 2025 State Budget worth IDR 3,621 trillion starting early next year.

The approval was taken in the 7th plenary meeting of the DPR RI for the first trial of the 2024-2025 session which was held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 19.

Based on the Banggar DPR RI report, there were eight factions who approved or accepted the 2025 State Budget Bill to continue in the second level of decision-making talks in today's Plenary Meeting to be ratified into law. Namely the PDIP, Golkar, Gerindra, NasDem, PKB, Democrats, PAN, and PPP factions. Meanwhile, the PKS faction agreed with notes.

"Can the bill on the State Budget for the 2025 fiscal year be approved to be ratified into law?" asked Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Lodewijk F Paulus in the plenary meeting room, Jakarta, Thursday, September 19.

"Agreed," replied all members who were followed by the hammer tap.

In the 2025 State Budget approval meeting, a government representative, namely Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Deputy Minister of Finance I Suahasil Nazara, Deputy Minister of Finance II Thomas Djiwandono, and echelon I ranks were present.

Banggar DPR said that one of the things agreed in the 2025 State Budget Bill was economic growth which was targeted at 5.2 percent and inflation at 2.5 percent. This has taken into account various global situations.

"The government needs to keep the inflation rate low considering the impact of inflation on household purchasing power is very large," said Chairman of the Banggar DPR RI Said Abdullah

Said also said that Banggar DPR and the government agreed on the amount of the APBN deficit of Rp. 616.19 trillion or 2.53 percent of GDP with an estimated GDP of Rp. 24,316.5 trillion.
