KPK Will Follow Up Reports Of Alleged Corruption Of Tender Geomembrane Worth Rp209 Billion

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will follow up on public reports related to allegations of corruption in supply geomembrane tenders at state-owned oil and gas companies. Preliminary and additional evidence that has been submitted by the reporter will be studied.

"KPK will study the additional evidence in question to strengthen the reported complaint," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika when confirmed by reporters, Thursday, September 19.

The report on the alleged corruption was submitted by the AmatiR Coordinator, Nardo Ismanto Pasaribu, who was summoned by the KPK on Wednesday, September 18 yesterday. He admitted that he was asked for information and submitted additional evidence to the public complaint department.

"Today we convey additional supporting evidence, one of which is some evidence regarding the relationship between PT MCP and PT TSE, PT MCP and PT TSE in implementing geomembrane," Nardo told reporters after being asked for information at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta.

Nardo said the value of the tender that was disbursed reached Rp209 billion. "But what we now know is that the procurement implementation has only been carried out around payment, only around Rp20 billion has been made, there are around 2'3 RO (Release Order, ed)," he explained.

On that occasion, he said the bancakan occurred from the start, namely by controlling supply geomembrane tenders. "Most likely this is an indication that the potential for corruption is not only in implementation," he said.

"But starting from the tender process it has been suspected, it is suspected that there is gratification or conditioning of regulations to be adjusted," continued Nardo.

There are high-ranking officials in the state-owned oil and gas company who are suspected of smoothing PT TSE as the winner of the tender. This figure is called Nardo intervened.

"Yes, the officials are the involvement of the officials. There is intervention so that PT TSE is won, but we suspect this is the way, there is a direction there. So, as a VP and the president director there is intervention downward so that in this tender it is forced so that he will win," he concluded.
