Polda Metro Asked To Completely Investigate Case Of Alleged Beating Of Stafsus Kadin Arsjad Rasjid
Polda Metro Jaya was asked to thoroughly investigate the alleged beating experienced by Arif Rahman as special staff (stafsus) from the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for the period 2021-2026.
It is known that Arif Rahman was the victim of a beating allegedly carried out by Umar Kei and Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko.
"The case of beating the Secretary General of Barikade 98 must be thoroughly investigated," said Deputy for Legal Affairs of Barkade 98, Yoseph Arthur Lumbanraja in his statement, Thursday, September 19.
Arif Rahman is the Secretary General of the Community Organization (ormas) of the Indonesian People's Front to Guard Democracy (Barikade 98).
The police are believed to be able to quickly uncover the beating case. Moreover, there are CCTV footage that can be used as evidence.
"We believe that the police are able to easily arrest the perpetrators based on CCTV and statements from witnesses at the scene," he said.
On the other hand, Yoseph also said that his party condemned the beating. Because, it reflects the attitude of thuggery and not educated.
"Barikade 98 strongly opposes and strongly condemns the acts of violence, persecution and thuggery in the style of the New Order's militaristic authoritarian regime by a group of people who carried out a coward act of beating and throwing violence against Arief Rahman, the Secretary General of Pemuda Pancasila who is also the Secretary General of Barikade 98," he said.
Arif Rahman is known to be a staff member of Arsjad Rasjid. In his report, he was beaten by Umar Kei, Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko and his friends.

As a result of the beating, Arif suffered bruises on several parts of his body, namely temples and his head.

Regarding the report, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi stated that his party would investigate and thoroughly investigate the alleged beating.
"So every police report that goes to Polda Metro Jaya must be followed up by further investigation," said Ade.
