Thursday Afternoon, Pramono-Rano Will Meet Ahok At The Semanggi Interchange

JAKARTA - Candidates for governor and deputy governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung and Rano Karno will meet with former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), on Thursday 19 September afternoon. The meeting will be held at Simpang Susun Semanggi, the iconic infrastructure in Jakarta, which is Ahok's legacy.

Joining the former governors of Jakarta became a special agenda for the 'Jakarta Bing' pair. After officially registering as the Jakarta governor-cawagub, Pramono-Rano immediately met with former governors of Jakarta, including Sutiyoso and Fauzi Bowo. After meeting Ahok, Pramono-Rano will also meet Anies Baswedan.

"Why did Mr. Anies (meet) the last one? Because Mas Anies is indeed the last (gubernur)," Pramono said in his statement, Thursday, September 18.

Pramono said that he and Rano Karno would also meet Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after October 20, 2024, or complete his position as president. Pramono met Jokowi in his capacity as former governor of Jakarta.

According to Pramono, he wants to get a lot of input from the former governors of Jakarta so that they can better understand the challenges in leading Jakarta and prepare solutions needed by their citizens. The former secretary general of the PDI-P emphasized that he dared to make decisions that sided with the kindness of the citizens of Jakarta.

"I have no burden, I dare to decide the most important thing, the problems that were not resolved in the past must be resolved," explained Pramono.

Pramono-Rano are determined to make Jakarta much more advanced than any city in the world. However, that progress must be in favor of the citizens as owners of Jakarta.

Participation with residents will be translated into a program that presents jobs. When jobs are created more, unemployment will be absorbed, Jakarta residents will be more prosperous, more friendly, and happier.
