Calm Down, The DKI Provincial Government Believes That The Price Of Cayenne Pepper Is No Longer 'spicy' In The Wallet During Ramadan
JAKARTA - Plt. Head of the DKI Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agricultural Security Service (DKPKP) Suarini Eliawati believes that the price of cayenne pepper will fall again when entering the month of Ramadan.
It is known, the price of cayenne pepper on the market some time ago had soared. A week ago, the price of cayenne pepper touched Rp. 93 thousand per kilogram. As of the 31st yesterday, the price began to fall to IDR88 thousand per kilogram. This is based on data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS).
"The prediction is that the current price of cayenne pepper has started to fall because the supplier area is starting to harvest," Suharini said when contacted, Wednesday, March 31.
Not to mention, efforts to control the price of cayenne pepper were intensified with the title of cheap food. This cheap food is held by the Ministry of Agriculture in Jakarta as well as a buffer zone.
"Currently, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government together with the BKP-Ministry of Agriculture are still conducting cheap food titles for chilies," said Suharini.
The operation of cheap cayenne pepper will take place from March 31 to April 6, 2021. The price is set at IDR 32,000 per kilogram.
