Bawaslu Hands Over 400 Reports Of Alleged ASN Violations To BKN

JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency has delegated the handling of 400 reports of alleged violations related to the neutrality of the state civil apparatus to the Indonesian Civil Service Agency.

Bawaslu chairman Rahmat Bagja explained that initially hundreds of reports came from his party's findings in the field, and the community was handled by the State Civil Apparatus Commission.

"It was handled by KASN at the beginning of the regional elections, and then we also handed it over to BKN after KASN did not exist, in accordance with the Circular of the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform yesterday," Bagja said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 18.

Bagja refers to SE Menpan-RB Number 4 of 2024 concerning the Transfer of System Supervision Implementation in ASN Management.

Previously, Bawaslu revealed that 400 reports of alleged violations of ASN neutrality were received up to the registration stage of the head and deputy regional head candidates, namely 27 to 29 August 2024.

"There have been more reports than if I'm not mistaken 400, which is then being followed up," he said in the Ancol area, Jakarta, Tuesday (17/9).

Bawaslu reminded reports related to violations of ASN neutrality need to be anticipated because they are the third election vulnerabilities based on the election vulnerability index released by Bawaslu. The first vulnerability is money politics, and the second is the neutrality of election organizers.
