Pansus Haji Disappointed Minister Of Religion Yaqut Absent From Meetings For Going Abroad
JAKARTA - Indonesian Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas did not attend the invitation to the DPR's Hajj Special Committee meeting which was held today because he was abroad. In fact, the Special Committee has scheduled a meeting agenda to ask for information from Win as the person in charge of the 2024 Hajj implementation.
"Yes, we should listen to information from the Ministry of Religion as confirmation of the confrontation of the witnesses we have summoned. For the special committee, it is enough, both witnesses from the apparatus, the community, and written or presence in the special committee are sufficient. What we consider a violation, we have received evidence, we want to confront with the Minister of Religion," said Deputy Chairman of the DPR Hajj Special Committee, Marwan Dasopang at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 18.
"Today we summoned him, the first summons, and he answered that he was not present. Because he was not present today, we sent a second summons, the letter has been running," he continued.
Yaqut's absence to the Hajj Special Committee meeting, he continued, was due to a trip to several countries.
"For us this is irrelevant, because the most important thing is to think about the fate of more than 5 million pilgrims. Then the special Hajj has also been around 4,700 people who are waiting, the waiting list is an average of 25 years of waiting. With a situation like this, there are people who are zig zAG who just register and can leave, this hurts the heart, there is no sense of justice," said Marwan.
"And secondly, it eroded Hajj finance, because there was no value already using the value of people's money. Now this is various things, if this is the case, say the minister feels he did not do it, but his subordinates do it, get angry, it should be," he continued.
Marwan regretted that Yaqut left Indonesia in the midst of the schedule for the meeting that had been scheduled. According to Marwan, Yaqut should first be wise in completing his obligations with the DPR, especially regarding the affairs of the people.
"He already knew about this trial, from the start he already knew. He should have finished the trial," said Marwan.
"Indeed, we schedule it only here, how come 18.19.20, it's finished. There's nothing finished," added the PKB politician.

Whether the Special Committee will immediately draw conclusions regarding the investigation into the implementation of the hajj or what kind.
"Conclusion. After we are finished, we will report it to the leadership of the DPR, the attitude of the ministers who are not present is what the attitude is, later the DPR leadership will take steps," concluded Marwan
