Chery Calls To Immediately Start Exporting Omoda 5 To Vietnam

Chery has assembled various car models in Indonesia, including the Omoda 5 which is not only intended to meet the needs of the Indonesian market, but also to be exported.

This was revealed by PT CSI Head of Marketing Mohamad Ilham Pratama. He said, Omoda 5 of Indonesia's local assemblies will soon be exported to Vietnam starting this year.

"The plan is to start exporting (Omode 5) in the fourth quarter of 2024," he said, when met in the PIK 2 area some time ago.

However, the man who is familiarly called Ilham did not mention how many units of Omoda 5 were exported to the country. However, he revealed that the model sent was the left steering wheel.

"Because it adjusts the regulations there (Vietnam), and indeed one of the ASEAN countries carries the left steering wheel," he added.

Ilham said that in Vietnam there has been no assembly for the Omoda 5 model, and the market in the country is also quite good.

"So later from China it will be assembled here (Indonesia) and then sent to Vietnam. Looking at the market, it is also quite good in Vietnam," he explained.

As is known, Omoda 5 has indeed been assembled in Indonesia more precisely at the assembly facility of PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi, West Java. This one car assembly started in March 2023.
