Moeldoko Camp Suspects Several Democrat Party Assets Under Individual Names
JAKARTA - Besides arranging structural officials, the Democratic Party some time ago also collected data on party assets. This was done by the DPP Democrat Party in the Extraordinary Congress camp (KLB) of Deli Serdang.
A spokesman for the KLB Democrat Party, Muhammad Rahmad, said that the data collection on assets was carried out because there was information from cadres about how many assets were purchased from party funds but their ownership was recorded in the name of individuals or individuals.
"This is certainly not true and there is a potential for the embezzlement of assets by private individuals", said Rahmad some time ago in his written statement.
As for the assets purchased using donations from cadres and the public, one of which is the DPP Democrat Party's office on Jalan Proklamasi No. 41 Jakarta. Based on available information, the office was bought when the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was still the General Chair of the Democratic Party at a price of more than IDR 100 billion.
However, the ownership certificate is not registered in the name of the party but in the name of an individual. "We are currently investigating this important information and researching its correctness. If it is true, of course this is a method that is not good for the democratic party”, said Rahmad.
All assets purchased with donations from cadres, he continued, must be registered with the name of the party. Thus, all of these assets can be used for the benefit of party members and the wider community.
Furthermore, similar data collection was also carried out on party assets in the regions. So, in the future party assets will not necessarily turn into personal assets.
"Therefore, we need data so that the cadres and the people who contribute are not harmed", he concluded.
