Police Denies Suspected Perpetrator Of Bullying Student Binus Son Of Party Chair With Initials A

JAKARTA - The police stated that there were no clues regarding one of the alleged perpetrators of bullying or bullying against RE, a Binus School Simprug student, who is the son of the party chairman with the initials A.

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Ade Rahmat Idnal said that from the deepening carried out, especially through population data, no appointments have been found to prove that one of the alleged perpetrators is the son of the party chairman.

"Some information was conveyed that the children mentioned there were several parties, children of party heads or other things. Of course, based on existing law, population data, we have checked the KK (family card) until now we do not know what it is meant," said Ade, Tuesday, September 17.

It is known, in the General Hearing Meeting (RDPU) with Commission III of the DPR, RE had stated that M was often threatened by M who claimed to be the son of one of the party leaders.

In addition, Ade also denied the issue that the police were taking sides because of the slow handling of cases.

In this case, his party prioritizes a family settlement. Therefore, several times mediation between related parties was carried out.

"So there is no possibility if the indication is said from January, why is the case taking so long? That's why we gave opportunities to the parties and even the last time we tried again, the fourth meeting was for RJ (restorativ justice)," he said.

However, from the four mediation meetings held, the parties did not agree to make peace. The case was processed legally.

"An effort has been made, the parties have met but there is no common ground for RJ or deliberation and consensus not to be found," said Ade.

For information, RE through his attorney has reported the alleged bullying case to the South Jakarta Metro Police. The report is registered with the number LP/B/331/I/2024/SPKT POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA.

In the report, the reported party had the initials KE, R, K, and C. They were all Binus students.
