A Couple From Thailand Selling Fruit-flavoured Methamphetamine Mixed Ecstasy In Bali Arrested By BNN

DENPASAR - The Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) Bali revealed Thailand-Bali's international drug network by disguising it in food supplement packages.

Head of BNNP Bali Brigadier General Rudy Ahmad Sudrajat said the disclosure of the international narcotics network of Metamphetamine and MDMA in the form of powder and ecstasy tablets was revealed based on a joint operation between BNNP Bali and the Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office of Customs Type Ngurah Rai.

In an operation on Tuesday, September 3 at the International Arrival Terminal, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, officers arrested two Thai foreigners with the initials WW and RJ.

"The mode of the two suspects is that they are packaged in a package of fruit flavored food supplements where the goods are sourced from Thailand," said Sudrajat, Tuesday, September 17.

Sudrajat detailed the narcotics evidence from the two suspects, namely 1,692.94 grams or 1,692 kilograms net powder mixed with methamphetamine and MDMA, 28.04 grams net methamphetamine, 20 ecstasy pills and 192.2 grams net crystal MDMA.

According to WW's confession, the goods will be handed over to the customer, namely two Indonesian citizens with the initials EP and VRR.

Furthermore, BNNP Bali carried out developments until Thursday, September 5, 2024, D was arrested on the side of Jalan Teuku Umar Barat, Klod Pemecutan Village, West Denpasar District, Denpasar City. D acts as a courier for the recipient of goods on orders from someone with the initials EP.

EP itself has been included in the BNN's wanted list.

After that, on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at around 04.35 WITA, VRR was arrested in the Premium Parking area of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

"VR acts as a buyer as well as a recipient of goods. According to VRR's confession, he brings goods together with his girlfriend with the initials RKH," said Sudrajat.

Based on the examination of the suspect, the Metamphetamine and MDMA powders were packaged in a package of fruit flavored collagen drinks, in a box and sealed.

This powder is used by dissolving water or soda, then drinking, causing excessive effects of pleasure or euphoria.

Sudrajat said that BNN is still digging up information regarding the period of drug trafficking that runs until marketing in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bali BNNP Eradication Division (Kabid Brantas) Kombes I Made Sinar Subawa said the WW perpetrator was a narcotics provider for Indonesian territory he bought from airports in Thailand.

"WW is tasked with receiving orders from Indonesia as well as buying at airports in Thailand. So, he is professional to be able to bring in buyers, collect the goods needed in Indonesia, he accepts orders and will meet in Bali," said Subawa.

From the sale, WW received money from his customer through a transfer where half the price of goods was transferred after goods arrived in Indonesia. The four suspects were charged with Article 113 Paragraph (2) Juncto Article 132 Paragraph (1) or Article 112 Paragraph (2) Jo.
