Erling Haaland's Two Goals Bring Man City To Beat Brentford At Home
JAKARTA - The fourth week of the Premier League until Saturday (14/9) night WIB was marked by a sharp show of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland to Brighton & Hove Albion who was held goalless by the promotion team Ipswich Town.
Quoted by Antara from the Premier League website in Jakarta, Saturday night, Haaland scored two goals which gave Manchester City a 2-1 win over Brentford at home to the Etihad Stadium.
City were actually left behind because Brentford scored in the first minute through striker Yoane Wissa. Haaland then became the savior with his goals in the 19th and 32nd minutes.
With that result, Manchester City is firmly in first place in the 2024-2025 Premier League standings after sweeping four matches with wins. Brentford dropped to seventh with six points from two matches.
Meanwhile, two goals made by Haaland made him the interim top scorer in the Premier League 2024-2025 with nine goals.
The 24-year-old forward is far ahead of the second-placed players, namely Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Noni Madueke (Chelsea) and Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Missa (Brenford). They each scored three goals.
From The American Express Community Stadium, Brighton & Hove Albion were held to a goalless draw by Ipswich Town. One point from the match strengthened Brighton's position in third place in the 2024-2025 Premier League standings with eight points and Ipswich remained in 17th place with two points.

The opening match for the fourth week of the 2024-2025 Premier League is Southampton against Manchester United (MU), which MU won 3-0 thanks to goals from Matthijs de Ligt, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.
